Why we built School Pilot in Monrovia

Borrowed software, borrowed dreams

For years a Liberian principal has run her school on imported software written for somewhere else. Field names talk about 'GPAs' instead of overall averages. Currencies pretend USD is the only thing that matters. Term structures assume August–June calendars. School Pilot is what happens when you stop adapting and start designing from the first line for the school across the road.

Three terms, not two semesters. Overall averages, not GPAs. Fees payable in Liberian dollars and US dollars in the same receipt. Every default in School Pilot assumes Monrovia first — because that is where it was written.
